High Court President Isaac Amit halted a hearing related to the investigation into ousted Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi after repeated outbursts from the gallery, ordering the courtroom to be cleared. Tensions later flared outside the hall among those removed.

After the hearing was halted, the court resumed the session without an audience.

President Amit said, "I am not aware of any democratic country where people behave like this in its Supreme Court. This is a serious, direct blow to the separation of powers and, quite simply, to Israeli democracy."

Before the room was cleared, a spectator shouted toward the court president, "Isaac Amit, you're a criminal; you lied ... to the court," and was removed from the courtroom. Amit responded, "I'm glad the public can see how attempts are being made to intimidate the court… Court security personnel will remove anyone who shouts or disrupts. This is not negotiable."
